DIRECT ENTRY ADMISSION PROCESS

What is direct entry?
Direct entry, is a category of admission entry given to students into 200l and 300l respectively in Nigerian, universities.
Direct entry is break down into two types namely:
1.       200 level Direct Entry
2.       300 level Direct Entry

200 LEVEL DIRECT ENTRY
In this type of direct entry, students with National diploma, universities diploma, NCE, IJMB and other diploma’s certificate are the ones eligible to apply to this type of direct entry and the lowest grade required is lower credit.

300 LEVEL DIRECT ENTRY
In these types of direct entry, students with Higher National Diploma (HND) are those eligible to apply to this kind of direct entry and the minimum grade required is pass credit.

STEPS ON HOW TO APPLY FOR DIRECT ENTRY ADMISSION IN NIGERIA
They are few steps to follow which are stated below:
1.       The first thing a desired student’s need to do is to apply through JAMB: Students need to register through jamb and choose the school he wants to apply as first choice.
Note: your old jamb number which you use in your ND/NCE/HND is required.
Also when registering, you should tell the CBT center staff is for DE.
2.       After registering through jamb, what you need to do is to apply for the post UTME screening of the school you apply as first choice in the JAMB DE registration.
3.       Follow the school admission process and wait for admission list.
Note: students with distinctions and upper credit will be considered first before those with lower credit.
While some school will not offer admission to those with lower credit i.e. Bayero University Kano (BUK) e.t.c.

NOTE: IF YOU DO NOT APPLY THROUGH JAMB THEN YOU ARE NOT ELIGIBLE TO APPLY SCHOOL POST UTME SCREENING BECAUSE ONLY STUDENTS THAT APPLY THROUGH JAMB ARE RECOGNISED FOR POST UTME
