At first lets look at the programme it self, what is HND ?
Higher National Diploma (HND), is a undergraduate programmes run in all polytecnics in Nigeria for students who are not oppurtuned to secure admission in the University. The programme cover's a duration of 2year, and for one to be enrolled into the programme he must have a National Diploma from a recognised institute in Nigeria and under go a 1 year Industrial Training.
Higher National Diploma admission is given by school not Jamb as known that enhence fort all undergraduate programme admission in Nigeria, must be obtain only through Jamb caps.
WHY DO ONE NEED JAMB NO FOR HND PROGRAMME?
We all know that after succesfully accomplished of the HND programmes one will go for 1 year National Service (NYSC) scheme only if he make complete requirement governing the NYSC scheme.
The reason why one need JAMB no is to get mobilised for the NYSC scheme, for students to get mobilised for the scheme, Students need to provide a Jamb no as the only means for mobilisation in Nigeria, this is the reason why students need JAMB NO for HND programme.
One may say do i still need Jamb no even if i did my ND at the same school?
Yes, is the answer and you can make use of the one you did your ND with for HND programme.
